The best places to get healthy snacks
Our favorite place to buy no carb snacks is either Amazon (check out our Amazon store) or Thrive Market. By keeping your fridge and pantry stocked with healthy options makes it much easier to stay away from sugary, processed, or high carb foods.
When we say no carb snacks, we are meaning snacks that range literally between 0 carbs and up to 1 net carb. The net carb total for each is listed with the snack idea.
If you're purchasing snacks and packed no carb foods, make sure to check the labels since not all brands will have the exact same nutritional content. You of course always want to choose low carb snack ideas that do not have added sugar.

Having 1 ounce of olives can be as low as 0 carbs and up to 1 net carb depending on the variety of olives you buy.

Making a medley of zero to low carb snacks makes the perfect lunch meal plan if you use olives marinated artichoke hearts, no carb vegetables, lunch meat and no carb cheese to put together an almost no carb charcuterie board. (focus on no carb cheese, no carb meats, and low carb nuts.)
Guacamole
1 tablespoon of guacamole only has half of a carb! It's so easy to spread guac on just about anything like cheese slices, bacon, dip low carb nuts into it, mixed with diced meats, eggs..you name it, the option are endless.

Before you think ewwww on the seaweed snacks, if you love Asian food, then you'll most likely love seaweed snacks too! Our favorites are from Trader Joe's again, they come in small packs of either salted or teriyaki flavor--both of these are 0 net carbs per serving.
Cheese
Whether or not cheese makes a no carb snack depends on the variety, so you'll definitely just need to check the labels of your favorite cheeses. Our favorite are baby bell cheeses and string cheeses when we need something quick on the go.

No Carb Nuts
You'll actually be surprised to learn that YES you can find (almost) zero net carb nuts! There are only 2 varieties of nuts that have 1 net carb or less and those are pecans and Brazil nuts. Healthy nuts make the perfect low-carb snack when you're craving those carbs.
One ounce of pecans is about 15 pecan halves and 1 oz of Brazil nuts is 8 nuts. If you want the net carbs to be less than 1.0 carb you simply need to eat ½ of this amount.

Avocado
¼ of an avocado contains 1 net carb, if you're wanting to keep it even lower than that, you can easily eat ⅛ of an avocado or just have a couple slices. Avocado and eggs make the best almost no carb breakfast.

Our favorite no carb snacks to buy
When you' don't have time to prep foods and just want a handful of no carb options to grab and go, it's helpful to have a few store-bought items at home.
We've listed both savory and sweet snacks, depending on what you're craving.
These are some of our favorite zero net carb snacks you can buy online (some can be found at larger grocery stores too). To be considered 0 carb, you'll need to subtract the fiber from the carbs to get the net carbs.

- Lupini bean snacks - 0 net carbs since these are so high in fiber, they cancel out the carbs. Made with Mediterranean flavors.
- Pork rinds - 1 ounce (about a handful) - 0 net carbs. These are seasoned, you can buy them without seasoning too.
- Kale chips (our homemade recipe with no added sugar) or you can buy kale chips too- 1 ounce - 0.5 net carbs
- Seaweed snacks (unsweetened) - 1 package (typically 7-8g) - 0-1 net carbs
- Almond flour crackers - 10 crackers - 0-0.5 net carbs. A 1 net carb serving is 20 crackers, so to get under 0.5 net carbs, eat 10 crackers or less.
- Coconut chips (unsweetened) - 2 Tablespoons - 0.5+ net carbs
Beef Jerky
Not all beef jerky can be treated the same, so many varieties have added sugar you probably don't want in your diet.

While some might not consider keto protein power a no carb sweet snack, chocolate protein powder is my personal go to sweet substitute, especially when I'm craving chocolate.

No Carb Vegetables

- ¼ cup cucumber- Net carbs: 0.8
- ¼ cup radishes - Net carbs: 0.5
- 2 celery stalks- Net carbs: 0
- Marinated Artichoke Hearts- Net carbs: 0
Note: We buy Trader Joe's marinated artichoke hearts, which are AMAZING! That particular brand is no carb, make sure to check the labels at your favorite store since some could have added sugar that would add to the carbs.
- Dill Pickles- Net carbs: 0
Eating 1 dill pickle makes a super easy snack, you can also wrap it with lunch meat, dice it and mix it with a can of tuna, or chop it up to mix with hard-boiled eggs and mayo.
Zero Carb High Protein Snacks
Here's a few ideas for high protein zero carb snacks that you can easily buy at the grocery store. Any of these would be delicious mixed with mayo, hard boiled eggs, or chopped pickles for a quick no carb meal. Of course make sure you're using zero carb mayo that doesn't have sugar.
Canned meats and my favorite, smoked herring (from Trader Joes), make an easy lunch or even an afternoon snack.

Cooking bacon in bulk, chopping it up and eating it by the handful makes a yummy and easy snack. Just about everything tastes better with a little addition of bacon!
- Lunch Meat- Net carbs: 0-0.7
Lunch meat net carbs can vary widely, mostly depending on whether that particular brand has added sugar like many hams do. You're most likely to find no carb lunch meats by sticking to chicken, turkey and roast beef.
Zero Carb Snacks to Make
While it's super easy to just grab 0 carb snacks straight from a jar or package like dill pickles or a piece of no carb cheese, sometimes you want to create a batch of your favorite zero carb snacks to make.
Here's a handful of our most favorite and most popular no carb snack recipes you can easily turn into mini meals for lunch or when you're on the go.
Keto Cheese Crackers
Cheese crackers makes one of the BEST no carb snack ideas since they're salty, easy and crisp. Check out our version of cheese crackers that have 0 carbs and cook in 15 mins.

The key to keep the carbs down in these is that you MUST start with a no carb cheese. Be sure to check the labels, many less expensive kinds of cheese add fillers like potato starch so make sure you're buying real cheese.
Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery
Since 2 celery stalks have 0 net carbs, you can fill them up with a zero carb or almost zero carb filling like cream cheese and a tiny sprinkle of everything seasoning. My favorite almost no carb snack recipe! Plus it's beyond easy.

Air Fryer Chicken Wings
You can't beat air fried chicken wings, better yet? Naked wings are zero net carbs when you make them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Hard Boiled Eggs
Hard boiled eggs are one of the best zero carb snack options since they're perfect with lunch, as a terrific no carb snack on the go, as part of dinner or even as a no carb breakfast option.

We make sure to meal prep hard boiled eggs every week and our absolute favorite way of cooking hard boiled eggs is in our instant pot. I didn't believe an instant pot could make a difference with hard boiled eggs until I tried it for myself.
A few very low carb snack ideas with eggs and hard boiled eggs includes making deviled eggs by adding a little bit of avocado, deviled eggs my mixing in mayo, or bacon and egg cups for a no carb breakfast.
Pepperoni Chips
If you aren't yet making your own carb free pepperoni chips, you're in for a real treat! Of course you could simply eat no carb pepperoni straight out of the package, but an easy no carb or low carb idea is to make your own pepperoni chips. They only take 1 minute to make in your microwave! Who knew?

Parmesan Chips
While of course, you can purchase parmesan chips at the store, they're tastier and cost less if you make your own at home.
To make your own no carb parmesan chips, you just need to bake them in a 400 oven in small cheese clumps on parchment paper for 5-6 minutes.

Oven-Baked Bacon
Is there SERIOUSLY a better no carb snack that bacon? I mean...seriously! Not only is it one of the world's finest foods, but if you choose your brand carefully it's a no carb snack too.
We especially love to bake it in the oven so we can easily cook an entire batch at once for meal prep and breakfast during the week.

Pickle Roll-ups
If you're looking for zero carb snacks, you can basically make a zero carb meal out of our meat, cheese, and pickle roll ups! Just make sure to check the labels and buy 0 carb pickles, cream cheese, and lunch meat. Turkey slices are 0 carb, so that's an even better choice than ham.
Avocado Egg Salad
Another one of our favorite zero carb snacks, which doubles as a meal too, is our avocado egg salad. The eggs and avocado don't have any carbs, just make sure to mix them with mayo that doesn't have any either or mix both together with a little olive oil, seasoning, mustard, and herbs.
