I've been making deviled eggs for years, but they became even more of a staple when my husband started eating one no carb meal per day to support his keto journey. He lost 30 pounds by focusing on high protein, low carb meals, and that's actually how this site first began! By sharing keto-friendly recipes that worked for him and for others looking for simple, real-life recipes and meal ideas.
Deviled eggs are still one of his favorites because they're easy to prep ahead, totally carb free, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Sometimes I make the classic version with mayo and mustard, and other times I keep it closer to carnivore by swapping in vinegar or even just a little extra salt. No matter how I make them, they never last long in our house.

How to Make Keto Deviled Eggs
Cook the eggs. Start with 4 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled and cooled. Slice them in half lengthwise. We love to cook them in a pressure cooker or in an air fryer if you need a recipe.
Mash the yolks. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a small bowl. Mash with a fork until smooth.
Mix the filling. Stir in 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise (use a no sugar added brand for diabetic friendly), ½ teaspoon yellow mustard, and ¼ teaspoon apple cider vinegar if you want a little tang. Season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Fill the eggs. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
Garnish. Sprinkle lightly with paprika if desired, chopped bacon or capers are a great garnish too.
