FAQs
Can you Reheat Sweet Potato Fries in an Air Fryer?
Yes! You can absolutely reheat leftover frozen sweet potato fries in your air fryer. Simply preheat your frier to 400F, cook them for 1-2 minutes until they're heated through and crispy. There's no need to flip them since they'll cook quickly.
Why are my sweet potato fries not crispy in the air fryer?
If your sweet potato fries aren't getting crispy, it's likely due to overcrowding the basket, not preheating, or not enough oil.
Are Trader Joe's or Alexia sweet potato fries better?
Both are great for air frying. Trader Joe's fries are thinner, sugar-free, and cook faster. Alexia fries are thicker, seasoned, and slightly sweeter due to added sugar. Choose based on your preference for texture and flavor.

Easy Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries (Frozen Crispy Recipe)
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 lb. frozen sweet potato fries
Instructions
- Preheat to 400F, if your air fryer doesn't automatically do this for you just manually turn your model on for 3-5 minutes before cooking.
- Lay the frozen air fryer sweet potato fries in a single layer, leaving space around the fries for best results.
- Set the air fryer to a cook time of 12-15 minutes.
- Flip the frozen sweet potato fries in the air fryer after 8 minutes if you have a basket style air fryer. Ours took a total of 12 minutes to cook, so 8 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on the other.
- If you have a basket style air fryer, we recommend shaking the sweet potato frozen fries every 5 minutes.
Notes
- Keep your sweet potato fries frozen and don't defrost them before cooking.
- For crispier sweet potato fries, be sure to leave some space around the fries so the air can circulate.
- Give the fries a shake or toss at least once during the cook-time.
- Remember: Do not use cooking spray on a non-stick basket as it will ruin the non-stick finish.
- Serve your fries as a side dish or as part of an appetizer spread.
