Things to Know Before Making Crispy Air Fryer Edamame Beans
• Dry before cooking: Pat the thawed edamame dry with paper towels before tossing with oil. This helps them crisp up better.
• Don't overcrowd the basket: Give the beans space to roast evenly for the perfect crunch.
• Shake often: Shaking every few minutes ensures even browning and texture.
• Finish with extra salt or seasoning: A sprinkle right after cooking gives the best flavor.
I've been creating easy, high-protein air fryer snacks since 2018, testing different cooking times to get the perfect crisp without overcooking.

Ingredients Overview
- Shelled edamame (12 oz): Use thawed frozen edamame for best results. Shelled beans crisp up more evenly than pods.
- Olive oil (3 tsp): Helps the seasoning stick and gives the beans a golden finish.
- Sea salt (½-¾ tsp): Enhances flavor and adds that classic roasted crunch.

How to Cook Crispy Air Fryer Edamame Beans
Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F for 5 minutes. Preheating helps the edamame crisp up faster and evenly.

Step 3: Spread the edamame in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes, shake, and continue cooking for a total of 18 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes for even browning.

Storage and Freezing
