Step by Step Instructions
A quick dip in egg and seasoned breadcrumbs, followed by some time in the air fryer, and you will be on your way to serving air fryer chicken cutlets.
Prep Ingredients
Crack and scramble the eggs in a small bowl.
In another small bowl, combine both the panko and the regular breadcrumbs and the chicken rub.
Dip the chicken cutlets one at a time, first in the beaten eggs on both sides and then in the bread crumb mix. Shake off the excess.
Lay the thinly sliced chicken pieces in the air fryer basket. Mist one side with oil.
Temperature
Preheat your air fryer for 5-minutes at 400F. Most air fryer models will do this automatically, but if yours does not turn your air fryer on and allow it at least 5 minutes to come up to temperature.
Cooking Time
Place your prepared chicken cutlets in your air fryer and cook for 6 minutes. Flip, then spritz the other side with oil. Continue cooking for an additional 4-6 minutes.
Cook the chicken cutlets in air fryer recipe for approximately 10-12 minutes in total, or until the internal temperature of your chicken reaches 160F.
Remove the chicken and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Easy air fried chicken cutlets use thinly sliced chicken pieces that get breaded and then cooked in an air fryer for just 12 minutes until they're crisp and tender.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken cutlets (sometimes called thinly sliced chicken breasts), or take 2 large chicken breasts and cut them in half for 4 cutlets
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon chicken rub
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes
- You'll need two shallow bowls or plates. In the first, add the eggs to one dish and in the 2nd dish, combine both kinds of breadcrumbs and the chicken rub seasoning.
- Dip the chicken cutlets one at a time, first in the beaten eggs on both sides and then in the bread crumb mix. Shake off the excess.
- Lay the thinly sliced chicken pieces in the air fryer basket. Mist one side with oil.

why does the recipe have two two kinds of breadcrumbs? The regular breadcrumbs help the coating to stick, the panko makes them extra crunchy.
