Protein List
Basically, all meat sources fit with a keto diet, but here's a list of the most popular items just to have on hand. Sometimes it's easy to eat the same proteins over and over again and hopefully, this list will give you new ideas when you're making a keto grocery list.
- chicken- whole chicken, breasts, tenderloin, wings, thighs
- beef- rib-eye steak, New York steak, strip steak, flank steak, roasts
- pork- chops, country-style ribs, baby back ribs, tenderlion
- bacon- so beloved it gets its own line item!
- fish- salmon, cod, whitefish, cod, catfish, tuna, herring, trout, sardines
- shellfish- clams, oysters, shrimp, prawns, mussels, scallops, crab, octopus
- lamb- rack of lamb, chops, roast, ground lamb
- burgers- ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey
- sausages- chicken, beef, pork
- turkey- whole, turkey breast, turkey leg
- game meat
- eggs
- tofu
Dairy List
The lowest carb dairy items are heavy whipping cream, butter, and cheese. Many of these are either 0 carb or 1 net carb. Be sure to check the labels of all packaged dairy products since the carb count can vary by brand.
Sometimes the less expensive grocery store brands have fillers in the products which helped bring the cost down, the downside is that those fillers often increase the carb count. Check labels!

Veggies List
People following a keto diet often limit themselves to 20 net carbs per day, if you're following a low carb diet that might be 50-100 net carbs per day. Many of your carbs in a day will probably come from keto vegetables and fruits.
Here is a list of the lowest and most popular keto vegetables, it's not meant to be a comprehensive list but consider it a list of the popular go-to vegetables many people eat on the ketogenic diet.
