I LOVE big macs... but can't afford the McDonald's big Mac price. I found this recipe to go with lettuce instead. I am so in love with it now! And so is my husband. He said we need to have this 3 times a week at least! ~ Ash
Key ingredients
- mayonnaise - for more authentic flavor, use a high quality brand that isn't made with olive oil
- low carb pickle relish - or chopped pickle with the juice
- sugar-free ketchup
- yellow mustard - just plain yellow mustard
- monk fruit (increase if swapping chopped pickle for the relish)
- garlic salt - or a mix of salt and garlic powder
- onion powder
Relish tip
If you don't have or can't find a sugar-free pickle relish, you can just dice chopped pickle and add a touch of pickle juice to the sauce. Since pickle relish is sweeter than pickles, increase the monk fruit or Swerve (erythritol) a little bit to taste.
